We set out to change the narrative of MiUSA. With a level of construction and materials that rival the highest offerings of tailored garments, The American Blazer is one of our greatest achievements to this day.
We made the Wool Twill Blazer with the same mindset. American Woolen weaves this resilient fabric from a luxurious wool yarn, heavy enough to be worn as a jacket. The Connecticut mill has been weaving since 1853 and since modernized with machinery from the United States, Italy, Japan, and Switzerland. We’re proud to call American Woolen a manufacturing partner.
In Queens, NY, the final blazer is constructed with Ferrara Manufacturing. The factory is family owned and operated to the highest standards of garment-making we’ve ever seen. Talented, knowledgeable individuals collaborate during every step of the process. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and techniques with old-school sensibilities, Ferrara represents the evolution of heritage craftsmanship.
This style references the traditional American sack suit. There’s a certain effortless elegance to it. Straight lines with minimal shaping, natural shoulders, a single back vent and 3-roll-2 button configuration drapes well on all body types without the need for tailoring off the rack. The single-needle sewing with full canvas construction is the hallmark of detail built into every piece.
