A refined essential with a clean-cut pocket and subtle, vintage-inspired detail.

One of the hardest garments to make is a tee with an outstanding fit – and that's because of the neckline. We made seven different samples to dial it in. A bound neck holds shape over time and maintains the integrity of the tee. With a straight body, mid-century-inspired sleeve length, and square chest pocket, it’s built to wear well and last long.

Made possible by an antique sewing machine, our pocket tee is finished with a ladder-style Merrow stitch at the pocket and hems. We were fortunate enough to see the machine in use again, operated by the sole person in our partner factory who knows how it works.

Cut and sewn from a midweight fabric that balances elegance and durability. Vintage White, Navy, and Washed Black are garment-dyed, offering a broken-in finish for our American-knit, open-end cotton. Olive and grey heather use slub cotton from Japan with dynamic character and a soft hand.
