The American Double-Breasted Blazer introduces a traditional, tailored silhouette to an exceptional American wool cloth. We wanted to create a jacket with the presence and elegance of the classic form, made with the quality and character we’ve come to expect from our domestic manufacturing partners.

American Woolen of Stafford Springs, Connecticut, one of our closest factory partners, milled a luxurious Doeskin cloth for us. Doeskin is a compact wool cloth with a smooth, softly napped surface, traditionally used for refined tailoring. Its dense construction gives the fabric substance and durability, while the short nap creates the remarkably soft hand that gives Doeskin its name.

The construction reflects a commitment to precision through every step of the American-manufacturing process. A 6-by-2 double-breasted front and patch pockets nod to traditional tailoring. The silhouette was shaped with intention, slightly tapered at the waist with a fuller chest for comfort and ease. It's an ideal presentation for a luxurious fabric.
