Epaulet x American Trench Doyle Jacket in Indigo Ikat - FINAL SALE
FINAL SALE. NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.
We are excited to present the boldest iteration to date of Epaulet's legendary Doyle jacket in indigo ikat cotton.
Handwoven in India of midweight 100% cotton yarn, this genuine ikat is one of the most exceptional fabrics that we've ever offered. Crafted in the traditional textile center of Bhoodan Pochampally, it requires a highly skilled and labor-intensive system of blocking and dyeing individual yarns to weave a complex repeating pattern which flows on both the face (outside) and the interior of the garment. The colors - indigo blue, pale grey, red and black - are bold and striking, and the jacket is absolutely stunning from every angle. Due to the large overall pattern, no two pieces are exactly alike. This is a testament to traditional craftsmanship and it makes up into a truly exceptional piece.
The Doyle is Epaulet's loving homage to the classic French work jacket
Two open patch pockets at the hip with top and side access and hidden brass rivets and heavy stitched bar tacks sit at the corners to reinforce them against heavy use
Single exterior pocket and a long interior pocket sit on either sides of the chest
Functional single cuff, single back vent
Natural corozo nut buttons dyed a gorgeous brandy tone
CARE NOTE: We experienced a little color rub when worn with light colors. Wear with darker colors at first or wash. Machine washable in cool water, but highly recommend air drying to maintain the fit. Do not put in the dryer.
Note: All measurements are shown in inches. For the Doyle jacket, "Chest" is measured from one seam under the armpit to the other. "Shoulder" is measured from one shoulder seam to the other, on the rear of the shirt. "Sleeve" is measured from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve. "Length" is measured from the base of the collar (where it attaches to the jacket body) to the bottom of the tail.
Each Doyle is made by a handful of skilled operators at Epaulet's Downtown Los Angeles facility. Every piece is cut and assembled by hand, and their proficiency is evident in the clean finishing and consistent stitching on each garment. These are among the finest and most meticulously made garments in the United States.
